Scooby Doo, where are you

Chateau Mont-Perat, Parcelle A355.  To me this sounds a little like a farm manor at the end of some B road.  However, this is a Bordeaux Merlot, and a quite nice one.

The Parcelle A355 is down the affordable end of the world of Bordeaux.  Comes in at a little over $20 NZD.  It was quite a bit lighter than I expected, and probably closer to a cheaper new world Bordeaux-style wine.  A little fruity, and a little woody, but not so much to take away the mellow of the merlot.
